A C Networks management and engineers are all experienced in working in all different kinds of enviroments and the challenges that go with them.

Sectors We Work In

Hospitals

Hospitals are typically larger enviroments which consist of multiple buildings which could be staff areas, public areas, labs, theatres, offices, consulting rooms, A+E, x - ray and wards with each area having its own health and safety issues. it is crucial to understand the activities going on and to liase with staff and managers in the areas. Working with the customer to undergo any site inductions and health and safety briefings and to cover issues such as infection control and to produce a risk assessment and method statement.
All the works to be planned to cause the least impact on the staff, patients and visitors. Where possible to work out of hours and use flexible working.

Health centres

Health centres are generally very busy enviroments and any proposed works which may effect the smooth running will need close co operation with the health centre management and staff to plan and implement the installation without impacting on the staff, patients and visitors and also produce risk assessments and method statement to cover the works. This could mean working out of hours for minimal disruption or flexible working practices working in certain areas at certain times to suit the health centre.

GP practices

GP practices like the health centres are generally very busy enviroments but usually a smaller building so co operation and planning with the manager or gp is key to cause the minimum of disruption and implement the installation without impacting on the staff, patients and visitors and producing risk assessments and method statements to cover the works.. This could mean working out of hours for minimal disruption or flexible working practices working in certain areas at certain times to suit the doctor or manager.

Offices

Offices could be a small business with a few rooms to a larger business in an office block and could have a high density of staff.
More than likely any cable installation will impact on the staff in these areas whether the cables are routed under the floor or in the ceiling voids.
Careful planning with the customer is key to implementing the works so as not to impact on the day to day working environment which could mean loss of business and revenue for the customer., this could mean working in certain areas at certain times, working out of hours or liasing with the customer to see if staff can move temporarily.
A risk assessment and method statement would be produced to cover the works.

Factories

Factories are typically larger enviroments and could consist of multiple buildings and have access roads going through them where goods are moved round.
it is crucial to understand the activities going on and any dangerous areas such as high voltage, chemical baths, hot works and machinery movements.
Working with the customer to undergo any site inductions and health and safety briefings and to produce a risk assessment and method statement.
All the works to be planned so as not to cause a stoppage to any processes and the use of flexible working practices.

Schools

With the nature of school enviroments where there are children running round or sat in classrooms it would be hard not to cause disturbance if installing cables and containment.
The works could be planned for out of school hours or in school holidays or work to be done in segregated off areas.
All works would be planned with the customer and a risk assessment and method statement produced to cover the works.
